From the first day I came here I loved Smith.

Maybe it's because, coming from California, a lot of things down here are new to me. To tell the truth, this whole college experience is new to me. This is the first time I have actually been away from home for a long period of time. I have no family members down here, so I'm kind of on my own. Well, except for my sister.

However, I must say I am having the time of my life. Being a student, more importantly, a Smithite, has been a very exciting experience, especially now that homecoming is here.

During my freshmen year, which was just last year, homecoming was OK considering it was my first college homecoming ever, but this year looks promising. We have a lot going on, a lot of great events to go to, and a lot of big people coming to our school so I'm just anxious to see what its going to be like.
