Roots and culture definitely are a part of the Johnson C. Smith University experience. "From Africa to the Carolinas: A Journey Through Time and Space" showcased the various talents of JCSU students. Attendees were treated to an evening of music, dance, and drama--all in honor of Black History Month.
The cultural celebration included performances by:

JCSU Electro-Acoustic Music Ensemble
OC Productions
Broken Chains Hip Hop Dance Ensemble
Jermaine Nakia Lee, NC Blumenthal Performing Art Center, served as emcee. The event was sponsored by the Black History Planning Committee. Dymilah Hewitt, Tutorial Center Coordinator, served as program chair.
