The Director of Admissions is responsible for advancing strategic recruitment and admissions initiatives to meet the University's enrollment goals. Additionally, the Director manages a comprehensive, data-driven recruitment and admissions program to attract, admit and retain qualified students, including traditional, non-traditional, graduate and international students. The Director of Admissions reports to the Dean of University Records, Admissions and Financial Aid.

Dr. Kevin Williams most recently served as Director of Admissions for Clark Atlanta University, where his leadership and expertise significantly increased the applicant pool and enrollment of first time freshmen by 25% for two consecutive recruitment seasons. Dr. Williams has also served in the following roles: Associate Director of Admissions for Ross University; Assistant Director of Admissions at the Illinois Institute of Technology Stuart Graduate School of Business; and Admissions Representative at Morehouse College.

Dr. Williams received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Morehouse College; a Masters of Business Administration, with an emphasis on Global Management, from American Intercontinental University; and a Ph.D. in Urban Higher Education from Jackson State University where he completed his dissertation research on "The Effectiveness of Cognitive and Non-Cognitive Predictors of Academic Success for First-Year Students".

His colleagues including Dr. Neari Warner, a former president of Grambling University, describe Dr. Williams as "personable and genuine," "committed," and "uncompromising on excellence and academic quality." When reached for comment on his appointment, Dr. Williams stated, "I am so excited and honored to be chosen for this position and look forward to working with the entire JCSU family to advance the mission of the University and the vision of the President."
