Johnson C. Smith University is pleased to announce that it will host two College Summit sessions in July as part of the University's on-going efforts to encourage early college choice and decision-making for middle and high school students.
The sessions will be held during the weeks of July 19 and July 26 of 2010, immediately following the University's Golden Bull Academy orientation program for potential incoming Freshman and their families. The College Summit sessions will be sponsored by the College Summit South Carolina regional office in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
According to its website, "College Summit is a national nonprofit organization that partners with schools and districts to strengthen college-going culture and increase college enrollment rates, so that all students graduate career and college-ready...Over the past decade, College Summit has worked in partnership with schools, school districts and colleges to develop a sustainable model for raising college enrollment rates community-wide."
