The Women's Intercultural Exchange will present Cynthia Marshall, North Carolina President of AT&T, as a guest speaker at JCSU's October 20, 2009 Lyceum, at 10 a.m in the Sarah Belk Gambrell Auditorium, Biddle Hall. This dynamic leader will share her insight into what it is like to be a leader in a top 10 Fortune 500 company. Marshall took over as AT&T's North Carolina president in January 2009 and heads the division from her main office in Raleigh.
Already, she has pushed AT&T to make improvements in North Carolina:
-AT&T has announced it will invest $350 million to begin building an infrastructure for video service
-AT&T plans to spend $78 million to upgrade wireless communication towers around the state
Marshall also has increased charitable donations from AT&T to various groups throughout the state.
