Johnson C. Smith University will hold its Opening Convocation on Tuesday, September 8, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. in the Jack S. Brayboy Gymnasium.

The ceremony formally welcomes new students to the University. It also symbolically marks the beginning of their collegiate experiences. Dr. Ronald L. Carter, Johnson C. Smith University President, will deliver the keynote address. In addition, the ceremony will include musical selections from the University's choir and band.
