Greetings Fellow Smithites,

It is with esteemed honor and pride to welcome you to JCSU as we endeavor to "Remember Tradition and Inspire Change." Whether you are an entering freshman or returning student, this year promises to be one filled with excitement and opportunities to become the best we can be. As Miss Johnson C. Smith University 2009-2010, I am delighted to represent you and promise to serve with the utmost integrity and dignity.

As we look towards a prosperous year of achievement, let's come together as a student body to uphold the Gold and Blue through academic achievement and engaging in activities that will benefit the JCSU family and local community. However, keeping your eyes on the prize will be the greatest decision you will make because it will help you to remember where you came from and know where you are destined to be!

Lastly, I encourage you to build as many strong and positive relationships with your peers, faculty and staff as you can. No! Things won't always be easy and your challenges may be many but 'Keep the Faith" and know that we can and will survive! Surround yourself with success at JCSU!
