Note: This is a 12- month, live in position. Evening and weekend work is required
Responsibilities: Lives on campus in the residence hall and provides day, evening and weekend duty coverage. Supervises the work of Resident Assistants and work study students in undergraduate residence hall(s). Coordinates opening and closing activities for the residence hall; participates in the planning, development and implementation of educational and special programs; schedules, attends, facilitates and participates in staff and hall council meetings. Serves as a role model for students. Monitors/reports the activities and behavior of students. Maintains an environment conducive to effective academic study and positive social interaction. Mediates student disputes and provides counseling and disciplinary action as required; attends judiciary hearings. Monitors budget and tracks residence hall expenditures. Responds to residence hall emergencies. Reports damage to residence hall structures, equipment and furnishings and requests appropriate maintenance work; performs other duties as required to meet organizational needs.
Qualifications: A bachelor's degree is required. A master's degree in Student Personnel is helpful. CPR and first aid certification preferred. Candidates must be flexible, have a strong customer orientation, and be able to work well in a collaborative team environment. The equivalent combination of education and related work experience may be considered.
