Position: TENURE-TRACK SPANISH FACULTY

This tenure-track appointment begins in August 2009.
Responsibilities: The faculty member will be responsible for teaching elementary to advanced Spanish courses in language, literature and culture; provide leadership and invigorate a flexible, current and relevant undergraduate Spanish curriculum. Additional responsibilities include advising, curriculum development, serving on University and departmental committees, performing community service, writing grants, conducting research and performing other duties as required in support of organizational goals.
Qualifications: An earned doctorate with at least 18 graduate hours in Spanish and a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching. Candidates must be proficient in the best practices of language instructional technology as well as pedagogies that engage students, and be willing to contribute effectively to an emerging, flexible, undergraduate curriculum.
